For example, a log will float in the water, but because it lacks lateral stabilization, it will roll-over multiple times. Canine Swim Safe addresses the problem of roll-over by preventing it from happening. Small dogs with short legs do not have sufficient range of motion under water to counter roll-over. They are not able to maneuver their bodies. Once roll-over occurs, short-legged dogs do not have the ability to turn over and become upright in the water.
